InterContinental Shanghai Pudong
is a 5-star modern business hotel managed by the InterContinental Hotels Group. Located in the heart of Pudong at Lujiazui, Shanghai’s business and financial hub, this 24-storey hotel features 400 elegantly designed standard guest rooms, six executive club levels with 110 rooms, 78 suites and a president’s suite.
Signals transmitted by the original 150 H3C wireless APs mounted at corridors were so weak that hotel guests could hardly access the network inside rooms and the atrium design only aggravated the problem. Signals hopped between scores of APs and connection was rendered impossible.
The WOC system came to the rescue with its shielded APs that allow no co-frequency interference as WLAN signals are transmitted via CATV cables to hotel rooms. Now that all rooms have been revamped with WOC technology, they guarantee sound and stable wireless network connection for hotel guests and all previous problems were resolved. The hotel management is very satisfied with the installation which has raised the hotels image.
